This honors seminar met on Tuesdays and Thursdays in DAAP. We had two professors who switched off based on the schedule of the course which I really enjoyed and thought was incredibly effective. We learned about creating and editing digital images and sounds, but with a small class of only 8 students, we were able to get better feedback on our work and make more progress over the course of the semester. Our class was divided into three sections: the first 5 weeks focused on digital imagery, the second 5 weeks on digital sound, and the final part of the semester combined digital image and sound into one comprehensive final project. This is one of my favorite classes I've taken so far. I love being able to take honors courses that are connected to my field because I get to meet with other students who have more varied points of view than other people in my major. I thought the approach to the class was helpful in preparing us for the final project. By learning different pieces and then combining them in one project at the end of the semester, I felt prepared to take on the final.
